<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell in which water management of a separator is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises separators 13, 14 for clipping electrolyte layers 11, 12 which cause electrochemical reaction, and at least one (13) of the separators is constructed of a porous material having a large porosity region 21 on the side contacting the electrolyte layers 11, 12 and a small porosity region 22 along at least a part of the reaction face on the side separated away from the electrolyte layers 11, 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
