摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device capable of being miniaturized by reducing the stress loaded by each engagement tooth by enlarging a diameter by mounting a mechanism for connecting and disconnecting driving force on an outer peripheral part of a differential mechanism, in a case when an operating member is mounted along an outer periphery of an axle. SOLUTION: The engagement teeth 38a, 19a engaged with a clutch member 21 are formed on outer peripheral parts of a gear member 38 and a connection flange 19 to enlarge an engaging/disengaging part of the clutch member 21. The operating member 23 for transmitting the application force of an actuator to the clutch member 21 is provided with a disc part 23c on an inner end part of a differential case 3 of a cylindrical sliding part 23a slidably fitted to an outer periphery of the axle, and an outer peripheral part of the disc part 23c is connected with the clutch member 21, whereby the operating member 23 and the clutch member 21 can be connected, and the stress of the driving force acted on the enlarged clutch member 21 can be reduced.
