PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a burner capable of increasing the radiant heat quantity from a radiation plate by minimizing the unevenness of diameter of burner ports of the radiation plate. SOLUTION: This burner comprises the radiation plate 6 having a burner port part 8 having a number of burner ports 7 and a radiation part 9 on the same plane. Only the surface facing a cooking material of the radiation plate 6 is painted with a black heat resisting coating material to form a paint part 11. Since thickness of the paint is as small as 10μm or less, the unevenness of diameter of the ports 7 after painting is minimized to stabilize the size of flame at each port 7, and the distribution of the whole radiant heat is consequently stabilized. Since the radiation factor of the radiation plate 6 is thus increased, and the quantity of the radiant heat emitted from the radiation plate 6 is increased according to it, the burning performance with the same gas consumption is improved, and the temperature of the radiation plate 6 itself can be also reduced.
