PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper capable of surely and economically breaking a bag containing garbage and supplying garbage at a constant rate. SOLUTION: In the hopper 1 for storing a garbage contained in a bag A, a pair of rotating shafts 13 with spiral feeding blades 10 extended outward of the hopper 1 are provided at the bottom of the hopper 1, blades 11 with helical edges having outer diameters smaller than those of the feeding blades 10 are arranged alternately with the feeding blades 10 on the rotating shafts 13 outside of the hopper 1, the circumferences of both spiral blades 10, 11 are covered with a tubular outer cover wall 12 and an opening 12H is formed in the outer end of the tubular outer wall 12. The stored garbage contained in the bag A is quantitatively taken in between the pair of the two rotating shafts 13, the feeding blades 10 and the external wall 12 corresponding to the rotation of the two shafts 13 and is pressed against the inner face of the external wall 12 by the pair of the blades with edges, and the bag B and garbage C are discharged from an opening 12H after being crushed. Preferably, the outer diameters of the blades with edges 11 are gradually increased toward the outer direction of the rotating shafts 13, and projecting bars 14, 15 which have a V-shaped section projecting into the space opposite to the space between the two rotating shafts 13 in the inner face of the cylindrical external wall 12 are arranged.
