An assembly measures the moisture content of agricultural products e.g. hay, straw or silage. The assembly has a moisture sensor element (22, 49, 54, 62, 65) and one or more sensor elements to determine other properties. Further sensors (23, 50, 58, 64, 66) determine the pressure forces exerted upon the moisture sensors. The sensors simultaneously determine the raw moisture value (Qr) and press forces (F) from which the real values of Q and F on a calibration surface.
