<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable modulating a high-frequency signal at a low cost, in an oscillator 1 for oscillating a trigonometric modulation wave used for a transmission wave in an FM-CW radar. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 2 consisting of a conductor and a dielectric is provided closely to an oscillator 3 consisting of a dielectric resonator, a cavity resonator and a mircostrip resonator to constitute the oscillator 1 together with a microstrip line 4 and a negative resistor circuit. The shape of the rotor 2 is changed in a circumferential direction in advance. Accordingly, when the rotor 2 is rotated, a resonant space opposite to the oscillator 3 changes and an oscillation frequency can be changed. Although a resonant frequency is hardly changed by an electric method when dealing with a high-frequency signal such as a millimeter band, the change in the resonant frequency is attained by a mechanical method, and excellent linearity and frequency characteristic can be acquired at a low cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
