A routing method for messages (10) in a communication network (12), with a transmitting entity, at least one target entity (24), a forwarding mechanism (16) that provides network applicable addressing of at least one of the target entities, a logging mechanism (18) that serves to buffer messages in at least one log file (20) comprises forwarding messages from the transmitting entity by means of the forwarding mechanism to its entity, or temporarily buffering the messages by means of the logging mechanism whenever the messages cannot be forwarded to at least one of the target entities of the forwarding mechanism.
