The seat has connection devices (7a, 7b) situated at free ends of branches (4a, 4b) of a U shaped arch (3) for defining a common rotation axis (8). Each device has a sliding axle perpendicularly integrated with respective rotation axles (8a, 8b) so that center of gravity of an assembly constituted by a base (5), a backrest (6), and the devices is automatically positioned at level of the axis.
