PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for collecting containers for surely aligning containers carried in a plurality of lines on a conveyor into a single line by a shorter distance than a conventional distance without overturning the containers and supplying the containers aligned into the single line to a downstream side at a lower carrying speed. SOLUTION: The containers are guided to a high speed side to be accelerated and collected by an inlet accelerating guide disposed to be inclined in a conveyor advancing direction on an inlet accelerating conveyor disposed adjacently to a supply conveyor for carrying the plurality of lines of containers in parallel to successively make the downstream side have high speed and to suck from a container carrying surface of the conveyor to bottom surfaces of the containers by negative pressure. Subsequently, the plurality of lines of containers are aligned into the single line by repeating speed reducing process and accelerating process of the containers more than at least one time on the conveyor connected to the inlet accelerating conveyor, while sucking from the container carrying surface and the bottom surfaces of the containers by negative pressure. A belt type guide advancing in the carrying direction of the containers in the container accelerating collecting process and the speed reducing process is used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
