PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can easily carry out removal of water droplets retained in a fuel cell, and realizing inactivation of the fuel cell by the use of an inert gas.
SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell 1, a reformed gas supply line 2a, a reformed gas exhaust line 2d, an air supply line 3a, and an air exhaust line 3c. It is also provided with an anode inlet electromagnetic valve 2b as well as an anode outlet electromagnetic valve 2c, a cathode inlet electromagnetic valve 3b as well as a cathode outlet electromagnetic valve 3c, a line 4a for supplying the fuel cell with pressurized inert gas, and an inert gas supply electromagnetic valve 4c for controlling supply of the inert gas to an anode electrode. Before reformed gas is supplied to the anode electrode, water droplets accumulated in the anode electrode is exhausted to the reformed gas exhaust line by supplying the inert gas to the anode electrode so that flow of the reformed gas to be supplied next will not be hindered by the accumulated water droplets.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
