PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of uniformly applying lubricant of sufficient amount to each gear without waste after storing members such as large gears and small gears in first and second housing halves to be joined with each other, and enhancing the production efficiency. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, a recessed part 10a in which a part of a large gear storage part 13 formed in a first housing half 1 is recessed in the radial direction of a large gear 30 is formed in the first housing half 1, and a lubricant pouring port 10 opened in a vicinity of a joining part of the first and second housing halves 1 is formed in the recessed part 10a while the second housing half is detached from the first housing half 1. When the second housing half is joined with the first housing half 1, the second housing half is preferably formed so that the lubricant pouring port 10 is closed by the second housing half.
