PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the height and size of a male terminal to be fitted into a female terminal to establish electrical connection, and to thereby reduce the thickness and size of a male connector using the male terminal and those of a female connector mounted on the male connector. SOLUTION: The male contact (male terminal) is provided with an elastic contact portion in which a pair of band-shaped contact pieces are disposed to be stacked on each other vertically. When the contact pieces are fitted into a housing portion of the female terminal, the contact pieces come into pressure-contact with an inner wall of the housing portion by elastic force in a horizontal direction to thereby establish electrical connection.
