PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a force to press a penpoint varies between individuals when the penpoint of an electronic pen is pressed to carry a current, when the penpoint is slightly pressed, the current is not carried, and when the penpoint is strongly pressed, a large force is applied to the inside of the electronic pen to cause a risk of damaging an internal component such as a contact. SOLUTION: The electronic pen has a function for transmitting a writing position to a receiver by using a battery. The contact structure of the electronic pen is so structured that a contact with a hole formed in a tail plug formed at the rear end of the electronic pen, and a contact movable by the movement of the electronic pen are formed, when the electronic pen is used, the movable contact is fitted to the contact with the hole formed to contact the battery and brought into a current-carrying state, and when the electronic pen is not used, the movable contact moves behind the tail plug to cancel the current-carrying state of the electronic pen.
