PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system in which a delay time until reception of a multicast packet by a wireless base station at a moving destination is shortened.

SOLUTION: The mobile communication system includes: multicast routers 20a, 20b and 20c; data link layer switches 30a and 30b; wireless base stations 40a, 40b, 40c and 40d; and a mobile terminal 50, wherein the mobile terminal 50 is characterized in that it detects switching of the wireless base stations and transmits a path establishment request to a different multicast router when the mobile terminal 50 judges that a wireless base station adjacent to a wireless base station after the switching is connected to a different multicast router from one connected to the mobile terminal.
