Runners (5, 6) are located along the seat (2) sides. The braking system (11) comprises a bar (12) simultaneously operating a brake (15) on each runner. The linkages provide lever-assistance for braking, and the operating bar is at the level of the seat, located at the rear end. The operating lever is bow-shaped and is pivoted to side struts of the sledge.
