<p>The probe (1) is normally guided through the body area to be inspected while the surgeon is standing close to the patient, exposed frequently to the x-rays used for the examination. When the new method is applied, the probe (1) is moved with a remote cotrol acting on either one pair or two pairs of rollers (2, 3, 4, 5) positioned parallel to the probe (1). The rollers (2, 3, 4, 5) can be rotated around axes parallel (R1, R2) to the probe (1) for a lateral motion or with their axes positioned in a right angle (R3, R4) to the probe (1) in order to create a linear motion.</p> |
