PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fatigue strength of a header tank in a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: A bridge part 5e connecting inner walls faced to each other is mounted on a tank main body 5b of the header tank 5. Whereby the expanding deformation of the tank main body 5b in accompany with the rise of a pressure in the header tank 5 can be inhibited, the stress concentrated on a base part of a folded part 5d for connection with the tank main body 5b, of a core plate 5a can be reduced, and the fatigue breakdown (fatigue crack) of the base part of the folded part 5d can be prevented.
