PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent range ambiguity from appearing as a false image by improving the range S/A in a bad case of range S/A, by determining PRF by use of observed positional information, though a conventional radar system suffers ambiguity because of the restriction of PRF, or a range gate in the range direction, especially, in the case that the sea area near the land area is observed with a large off-nadia angle, and the range ambiguity appears as a false image. SOLUTION: The radar system comprises a signal generation part constituting a regular radar system, a transmitter 2, a transmitter/receiver switching part 3, an antenna part, a receiver part, an A/D converter part 6, a parameter operation part 9, a timing control part 10, a range S/A estimation part 11, and a first PRF determination part 12.
