<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for motion-controlling a side shield of a side door of an automobile capable of being moved by a shield raising/lowering device operated by an external force, where impression of the quality of the automobile is optimized by improving a method for automatically moving the side shield by the shield raising/lowering device to an intermediate position different from a completely closing position or a lowered position of the side shield according to the movement of the side door. <P>SOLUTION: Starting from the completely lowered position of the side shield 5, the side shield 5 is upwardly moved to the intermediate position ZP at least for closing the side door. At the intermediate position ZP, the side shield 5 is at least partially moved within a seal gap 15 placed at a door parapet of the side door by an upper edge 22 of the shield. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
