PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment attaining the reduction of the number of parts and space saving and realizing its miniaturization and the reduction of cost by constituting a detection means for generating a signal showing the opening/closing state of a cover member so as to use an existing component member also as the detection means. SOLUTION: The detection means 13 generating the signal showing the opening/closing state of the cover member 12 is constituted of a member to be contacted 16 having a conduction part and an energizing means 15, and the member 16 is arranged in a moving area where one end 15b of the energizing means 15 is positioned according as a cover opening/closing member 14 is moved from a locking position to a locking release position by an operation part 14b, and the opening/closing state of the cover member 12 is detected according as whether or not a conduction state is attained by the contact of one end 15b of the energizing means 15 with the member 16.
