<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snare for an endoscope to be hardly deformed into flexure on the way when a snare loop is pressed on the surface of a mucous membrane, and to be widely expanded again in the shape of a loop of sufficient size after the snare loop is drawn into a flexible sheath and contracted. <P>SOLUTION: The snare loop 10 consists of two stranded wires 4 and 5 with different diameters, which are fixed to each other at the distal ends and base ends, and the intermediate part of the snare loop is bent in the shape of an expanded loop. Accordingly, the snare loop 10 is hardly deformed into flexure on the way when the snare loop 10 is pressed on the surface of the mucous membrane because of the strength of the thicker stranded wire 4. As the thinner stranded wire 5 is hardly plastic-deformed when the snare loop 10 is drawn into the flexible sheath and contracted, the snare loop 10 is expanded again in the shape of a loop of sufficient size when the snare loop is pushed out of the sheath. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
