PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal and a communication adjusting device which surely adjust a communication setting value (communicating condition) via a public communication line. SOLUTION: A test communication is performed by using a communication adjustment value transmitted from the communication adjusting device to the communication terminal 1 via a general telephone line 3. When the test communication is normally performed (when the communication adjustment value is an appropriate value), the communication adjustment value is used for communication of the communication terminal 1 after that by updating the communication setting value stored in a communication setting value storage part 15 to the communication adjustment value (the communication adjustment value stored in a communication adjustment value storage part 16). Thus, there is no case that the communication terminal 1 becomes impossible to perform communication by the test communication and the test communication can repeatedly be performed until the test communication is normally performed (until the communication adjustment value becomes the appropriate value).
