NETWORK, PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGE, AND METHOD OF STARTING PBX ADDITIONAL SERVICE FOR USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange whereby an SIP terminal can receive various services provided by the private branch exchange without the need for upgrading version of software of the SIP terminal itself. SOLUTION: The IP-PBX 1 (private branch exchange) is provided with a standard SIP protocol control module 17 and an extended SIP protocol control module 18, which are respectively located corresponding to SIP system protocol compatible terminals, convert signal from the SIP system protocol compatible terminals into a signal of a protocol inside the IP-PBX 1 and transmit the converted signal to a PBX basic connection processing providing module 12, convert the signal from the PBX basic connection processing providing module 12 into the signal of the respective SIP system protocol signal, and transmit the converted signal to the SIP system protocol compatible terminals. A PBX additional service providing module 11 and the PBX basic connection processing providing module 12 provide additional services in response to the hooking operation and the entry of a number for starting the services from the SIP system protocol compatible terminals.
