PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure between a steel column and a wide flange beam which is constructed by connecting the wide flange beam to the steel column via a T-shaped fitting, wherein the joint structure is implemented by both bolting and welding through a simple technique at a low cost without using a technique of high difficulty. SOLUTION: According to the joint structure, a pair of the T-shaped fittings which are cut out from a hot-rolled wide flange beam, are connected to the steel column by means of head-clamping high-strength bolts, for example, and flanges of the wide flange beam are fillet-welded and connected to inner surfaces or outer surfaces of webs of the upper and lower T-shaped fittings. Further each web of the T-shaped fitting may have a slit or a through hole formed therein and fillet welding is implemented along an inner wall of the slit or the through hole to secure a sufficient welding length 3, or the wide flange beam may be divided into two sections to absorb a tolerance in an axial direction.
