PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem according to the conventional arrangement wherein it is so far difficult to stack the cloths etc. fed piece by piece in the neatly arranged condition or a complicated constitution is required to stack in the neatly arranged condition. SOLUTION: A cloth stacking device is structured so that cloths etc. Y fed piece by piece by a conveyor 1 are stacked one by one on a receptacle device 3 under the terminating part 1b of the conveyor, wherein the receptacle device 3 is equipped with a conveyor belt 31 able to place the cloths Y under the terminating part 1b of the conveyor and a controller 10 having a conveyor motor 32 to run the belt 31 both in the forward and the reverse direction and driving the conveyor motor 32 in the regular or reverse direction so that the cloths Y fed one by one from the conveyor terminating part 1b are stacked in the specified position on the belt 31 in the neatly arranged condition.
