PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform retrieval by preventing the problem, wherein it takes time to acquire the newest recording management information arranged in a recorded region adjacent to a boundary between the recorded region and an unrecorded one since it takes time to find the boundary when the size of a recording management region becomes large. SOLUTION: According to the size of the recording management region, the number of block jumps is changed in a first amplitude inspection in the recorded and unrecorded regions.
