<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for inhibiting oxidation of a saccharified protein to prevent or ameliorate the complication of diabetic. <P>SOLUTION: The orally administrable composition for preventing or ameliorating the complication of the diabetic contains an extract of a kernel of a seed of a plant belonging to the genus Juglans of the Juglandaceae as an active ingredient. Juglans regia, Juglans mandshurica Maxim. var. sachalinensis, Juglans mandshurica Maxim. var. mandshurica, pecan nuts, walnuts and the like are exemplified as the plant belonging to the genus Juglans, and the part of the kernel of the seed obtained by removing the shell of the seed of the plant is preferably used by extracting the kernel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
