PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water temperature control system needing no forced cooling and capable of generating much heat as a single unit. SOLUTION: The water temperature control unit for a water tank has such a construction that a thyristor 29 is hermetically accommodated together with a detective sensor 26 in a sensor case 22. Thus, the necessity of forcedly cooling a control section 41 by a relevant means is eliminated. Further, even if the thyrister 29 generates much heat, the heat is absorbed via the sensor case 22 into the water W in the tank 11, enabling the thyrister 29 to be easily cooled to a level lower than an permissible temperature. As a result, the power consumption of a heater 53 can easily be brought to 1 kw or greater, enabling the water temperature of the large-sized water tank to be controlled by the heater 53 as a single unit.
