PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which flows well at high temperature, does not cause filming and can stably form an image, and to provide an external additive for toner to be contained in the above toner and a method for manufacturing the toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains the external additive for toner comprising first, second and third components which satisfy the following necessary conditions (1) to (4); (1) the first component: silica which has a BET specific surface area of 35 to 65 m<SP>2</SP>/g and to which a silane coupling agent represented by formula (I) has been stuck, (2) the second component: silica which has a BET specific surface area of 105 to 155 m<SP>2</SP>/g and to which a silane coupling agent represented by the formula (I) has been stuck, (3) the third component: silica which has a BET specific surface area of 105 to 155 m<SP>2</SP>/g and to which a silane coupling agent represented by formula (II) (where R<SP>9</SP>and R<SP>10</SP>are each independently Cl, Br or I) has been stuck, (4) the weight ratio of (1), (2) and (3) are (5 to 35);(5 to 35);(30 to 70) respectively.
