SHEET FOR INK JET RECORDING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet for ink jet recording which has high glossiness and excellent ink absorbing properties without impairing film-forming properties.

SOLUTION: The sheet for ink jet recording has at least one void layer containing a hydrophilic binder and a porous substance, as an ink receiving layer, on a support. The void layer contains an ionizing radiation curable resin as the hydrophilic binder, and the sheet has a swelling layer on the side more apart from the support than the void layer.
