<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide recording paper with its surface not applied with special coating, commonly usable in an inkjet recording method and electrophotographic recording method, quickly drying ink, affording a high image density of the resultant image with slight bleeding and feathering between colors and having a low offset density when printed according to the inkjet recording method, and to provide a method for recording the image using the recording paper. <P>SOLUTION: The recording paper is produced by coating, on the surface of an original paper composed mainly of a pulp fiber and a filling material, a treating liquid containing at least a water-soluble polymer and one component selected from among the following components: (1) an amino acid chelate material combined with a divalent or higher metal, (2) chitosan insoluble in water having pH 7 and a heterocarboxylic acid and (3) a water-soluble monomeric amino acid, but substantially not containing pigments. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
