PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of the position and the direction of a wireless magnetic marker and its system capable of measuring the position and the direction by changing an external magnetic field given beforehand by the existence of the wireless magnetic marker. SOLUTION: This system is provided with an excitation coil array 1, a magnetic field detection coil array 3 arranged oppositely to the excitation coil array 1, and the wireless magnetic marker 6 constituted of an LC resonance circuit arranged between the excitation coil array 1 and the magnetic field detection coil array 3. A change of an applied magnetic field by an excitation coil in the excitation coil array 1 caused by an induction field of the LC resonance circuit in the wireless magnetic marker 6 is detected by magnetic field detection coils 3A-3I in the magnetic field detection coil array 3, to thereby measure the position and the direction of the marker.
