PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with excellent handleability, capable of not only surely preventing splashing of washing liquid at the time of polishing a floor but also facilitating the position adjustment and attaching / detaching operations of a splashing preventing cover to/from a main body. SOLUTION: Relating to a floor polishing machine A in which a brush 9 is freely detachably attached to the main body 1 and the bristle body 16 of the brush 9 projecting downwards from the main body 1 is moved on a floor surface by an operation rod 2 attached to the main body 1 while it is brought into contact with the floor surface and turned, the splashing preventing cover 19 is constituted of a horizontally long belt-shaped elastic sheet 20 and one material 18A of a male and female materials of a hook-and-loop fastener attached along a longitudinal direction in the entire upper end area of the inner surface of the elastic sheet 20. Also, the main body 1 is provided with a peripheral wall 11 surrounding the brush 9, the other material 18B corresponding to the one is attached to the entire periphery of the peripheral wall 11, one material 18A is fixed to the other material 18B, and the elastic sheet 20 of the splashing preventing cover 19 is arranged at a position at which it surrounds the bristle body 16 of the brush 9 and projects downwards from the bristle body 16.
