<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate which can be produced while the use of an organic solvent is minimized without forming a peeling layer by using the organic solvent and to provide a metal powder and a transfer foil by using the laminate. <P>SOLUTION: By applying direct current glow discharge treatment or plasma treatment to the surface of a plastic film substrate, a fragile layer making the surface of the substrate fragile is formed.
