FIELD: measuring engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises determining differential distribution of material moving down a slope over the vertical co-ordinate, determining mass fraction of particles that are accidentally brought above the surface of the layer, causing the material to move down parallel to the slope repeatedly, setting a thin smooth plate (flow splitter) at the loosing threshold, and measuring a distance between the plate and plane of the slope for which the fraction of particles separated from the major flow differs by no more than by 5% from the fraction of particles accidentally brought above the layer. ^ EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determining. ^ 2 dwg |
