The invention relates to a method and device for preventing unintended acceleration of a vehicle. According to the method, a first operating parameter is determined, describing an operation (vFB) of a driving operation element, provided for influencing the drivetrain of the vehicle, whereby the vehicle remains unaccelerated when an idle condition, dependent on one of the determined first parameters, is fulfilled. In addition to the first operating parameter, a second operating parameter is determined, describing an operation (vBB) of a brake operating element for influencing braking means, whereby the idle condition depends furthermore on the second determined operating parameter. |
