PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof segment piece which can prevent explosive fracture caused by water vapor pressure, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This fireproof segment piece 10, which is formed in such a bent plate shape that a cylindrical ring body is split into a plurality of pieces along a peripheral direction, comprises an arc-shaped outer surface 100, an arc-shaped inner surface 101, and a pair of side surfaces 102 and 103 which are provided between the outer surface 100 and the inner surface 101. The segment piece 10 is provided with many water-vapor exhaust parts 14 which are positioned on the side of the inner surface 101 of the segment piece 10, and one-side ends of which are opened on the inner surface 101 of the segment piece 10. The exhaust part 14 is composed of a hole part 16 which is formed up to a predetermined depth from the inner surface of the segment 10. Even if the water vapor pressure is increased by evaporation of moisture inside concrete when a temperature rapidly rises due to a fire etc., the water vapor is discharged to the side of the inner surface 101 of the segment piece 10 via the exhaust part 14.
