摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically obtain image data with high resolution along a correct contour of an original. SOLUTION: The contour region of the original is detected on the basis of image data read with low resolution (S1, S2). Image reading is performed again with high resolution over a region with the outer frame of the detected contour region as an outer edge (S3, S4). The contour of the original is detected in the contour region on the basis of the image data obtained with high resolution (S5).
