IMAGE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT FOR SENSE WITH LOW SIGNAL REGION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize aliasing degradation in SENSE images to improve the ratio of SENSE signal to noise. SOLUTION: An imaging method for an MRI system includes a process for identifying a low signal region within a scanning volume. An overlap calculation of the scanning volume is generated. The low signal region is substantially eliminated from the overlap calculation to thereby generate an adjusted overlap structure.
