PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rigidity of a top deck 20 and improve the sealing performance with a head gasket, etc. SOLUTION: A water jacket 18 is formed between a cylindrical cylinder wall 12, in which a piston can freely move up and down to insert, and a jacket side wall 14 surrounding the periphery of the cylinder wall 12. Block outside walls 50, 51 are provided almost all over the whole length of the block longitudinal direction by separating a predetermined interval at the side in the longitudinal direction of the jacket side wall 14.
