<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the blood sugar level non-invasively based on the temperature measurement. <P>SOLUTION: Different regression functions are used for a healthy person and a diabetic in stabilizing the measurement data by correcting the non-invasively measured blood sugar level based on the temperature measurement with the degree of saturation of oxygen in blood and the blood flow. The room temperature (environment temperature), the body surface temperature, the temperature change in a block in contact with the body surface, the temperature of radiation from the body surface, and the absorbance of at least two wavelengths are measured values necessary in this model. The parameter on the blood flow, radiation heat transfer quantity, and convection heat transfer quantity can be obtained from the temperature, and the parameter on the degree of saturation of oxygen in hemoglobin can be obtained from the absorbance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
