PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably apply to a rear wheel suspension in a bicycle mainly travelling an urban area and a motorbike having approximately 50 cc displacement in a relatively compact size. SOLUTION: A lower end of suspension spring S is supported on a stepped section 1a formed on an outer periphery of a cylinder body 1 which forms a damper body D. The stepped section 1a is formed by reducing a diameter of an upper side 1b smaller than that of a lower side 1c at an intermediate section of the cylinder body 1, and the cylinder body 1 is pressurized and formed into an integral body from a lower bottom section 1d to an upper end head section 1e.
