PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map printing system that can print a barrier-free map and a method thereof. SOLUTION: The method uses a map information database 130 which stores route information, landmark information, color information, and road kind data, a map height difference information database 140 which stores information regarding height differences of roads, and a color information correction definition database 150 for changing color information into other color information when the color of specific color information in the map information data base 130 possibly causes color sense trouble. When a map is printed by using route information, landmark information, color information, and specific information stored in the map information database 130, height difference mark indicating slope states of roads and projection parts representing paths of the roads are added and colors and specific information which possibly cause color sense trouble are converted to colors with which map contents can be recognized irrelevantly to whether color sense trouble is caused and printed.
