<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a land pre-pit address demodulating device which detects a land pre-pit address even at the time of high speed recording in a DVD-R/RW disk. <P>SOLUTION: In the land pre-pit address demodulating device (DM) detecting land pre-pit address information during recording on the DVD-R/RW disk, a tracking error signal (TE) is muted by a first reference potential (VreF1) while the tracking error signal (TE) is generated from reflected light of a laser of mark power for recording, a residual component in the tracking error signal (TE) is eliminated, the tracking error signal (TE) from which RF residual component is eliminated is compared with a second reference potential (VreF2), and a land pre-pit address signal is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
