<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system which can minimize a maintenance fee for a global IP address when simultaneously and remotely controlling a plurality of devices to be operated. <P>SOLUTION: When a failure occurs in a machine tool which a machine tool manufacturer sold, the operation information and alarm information on the machine tool 20 of a customer are obtained by remotely controlling the machine tool 20 by means of a failure diagnosis device 11 installed at the service center 10 of the machine tool manufacturer, and the failure is diagnosed on the basis of these kinds of information or the like. A plurality of failure diagnosis devices 11 comprising personal computers and a server 12 which is connected to communicate with the failure diagnosis devices 11 and allocated with an exclusive (fixed) global IP address are provided at the service center 10.
