FIELD: agriculture, in particular, selection of cereal crop plants. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring inflorescence weight, grain weight, inflorescence weight and grain weight ratio; separating forms having maximal values of said factors. Weight of inflorescence is measured at flowering phase, with flowers being preliminarily dried to air-dry state, and at harvesting stage. Weight of grain obtained from inflorescence is determined by calculating difference between inflorescence weight during harvesting and inflorescence weight at flowering phase. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency in selecting of cereal crop due to reduced labor intensity. ^ 1 tbl |
