Machine for manufacturing bags from a tubular web comprises a base-making cylinder, and at least one base-sealing element having a rotating part (10) that carries and seals the bag base parts transported in the transport direction. The contact point of the rotating part, at which the rotating part makes contact with the parts of the base to be sealed, can be adjusted. The phase position of the rotating part can be adjusted during operation of the machine. Preferred Features: The movements of the base-making cylinder and the rotating part can be mechanically coupled. The bag machine is provided with at least one differential (5) for adjusting the phase position. |
