PURPOSE: An audio amplifier is provided to reduce the volume loss by a noise when a volume adjuster of the audio is installed in the position separated from the audio amplifier. CONSTITUTION: An audio amplifier comprises a volume adjuster(10), a volume adjustment signal processing part(20), a microprocessor unit(30), a pre-amplifier(40) and a power amplifier(50). The volume adjuster(10) generates a volume adjustment signal according to operation of a user. The volume adjustment signal processing part(20) converts the volume adjustment signal input from the volume adjuster(10) to a digital signal and stores the digital signal to a buffer(24). The microprocessor unit(30) reads the digitalized volume adjustment signal at predetermined time intervals, converts the signal to the analog signal, and calculates digital-analog converting gain. The pre-amplifier(40) amplifies the conversion gain and voltage of the audio signal, and outputs the amplified signal to the power amplifier(50). The power amplifier(50) converts the signal input from the pre-amplifier(40) to the driving signal of a speaker.
