<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for enhancing a dustproof effect without lowering a cooling effect in a projector where forcible air cooling is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The dust removing device for a projector is a device which applies voltage between a pair of electrodes composed of an ionizing electrode and an electrode for collecting dust inside the projector so as to electrify the dust flowing to the inside of the projector by the discharge of the ionizing electrode and catch the dust by the electrode for collecting dust. Dust collecting paper is provided to cover over the electrode for collecting dust so as to be exchanged from the outside of the projector. Then, the voltage applied between a pair of electrodes is obtained by sharing a power source for the lamp of the projector. Therefore, the projector prevented from causing deterioration in image quality due to the dust with simple constitution is obtained, in particular, the projector copes with a liquid crystal panel or a DMD device adaptable to high definition and is effectively used to prevent deterioration in the image quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
