PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID detector that comprises: capability that detects an RFID (radio IC tag) installed on a road depending on a road condition by a mean that makes variable the fixed-type communication range of an RFID detection means equipped to an own vehicle comprising a road sign/road indication navigator system by the steering operation of the own vehicle; and a variable function for the communication range of the road sing/road indication navigator system for supporting safe driving by a means that automates vehicle-speed setting, and to provide the automation of the vehicle-speed setting of a cruise control device. SOLUTION: The RFID detector (reader) 3 of the traffic sign/road indication navigator system is provided with an actuator 10. Depending on road conditions, the actuator 10 is activated based on data 9 of a steering angle sensor for steering operation, and the direction of the RFID detector (reader) 3 is changed to move the location of the communication area.
